Like a theme-park mounting of the 1991 cartoon, or the blandified pop version of an enchanting signature character tune. A watered-down pastiche of itself.

There’s some good stuff here, like the prickly relationships between women at odds with one another, but too much feels too contrived to fully satisfy.

A bitterly funny pas de trois character dramedy performed by three compulsively watchable actors.

LFF is a veritable orgy of cinema, and I love it. It’s exhausting, but I love it.
I love Dave, with Kevin Kline as a presidential double who becomes a very catharthic stand-in for us in how he expresses outrage at Washington inertia…
