trailer break: ‘The Extra Man’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer…

I’ve already seen this movie, and it was a unique experience, and I imagine my reaction to the movie is probably what my reaction to the trailer would have been, had I seen the trailer first: Wha’? Weird! Sad! Huh?

Ya wants original movies, this is one of them. It’s not like anything I’ve seen recently. Or ever. And it’s nice to see Kevin Kline continuing to do oddball work, and Paul Dano following in his footsteps.

The Extra Man opens in the U.S. on July 30; no Canadian or U.K. release dates have been announced. It is now available to watch in the U.S. via Amazon Video on Demand and other on-demand channels.

Something about the dialogue struck me as Oscar Wilde-ian, like lines out of “The Importance of Being Earnest.” Bluntly, cluelessly honest, the way people never actually speak in real life. This intrigues me :)
