Dumb, pointless, unentertaining crap. But at least it’s about women. Yay? Nah.

It shouldn’t work, but it does, as wonderfully sardonic British humor and as a reminder that you’re not alone in being messed up in this insane world.

One of the more achingly poignant stories of awkward (male) adolescence I’ve seen. Sam Rockwell steals this movie more than he has ever stolen a movie before.
I bet if this Australian flick ever gets a release in the U.S., Universal will change the title. I can imagine the uproar a title such as Mental would cause.

It’s a rare thing, but sometimes digging up the past and giving it another spin is a good thing.
