‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: Christopher Eccleston’s charity Dalek sketch

Christopher Eccleston sketched a Dalek:

It’s part of National Doodle Day, which was this past Friday, February 11, in support of Epilepsy Action, which helps people living with epilepsy.

If you have a mobile phone on a U.K. network, you can send a text to vote for Eccleston’s sketch; info on how to do that is here. (You get charged extra, beyond usual texting fees, with the money going to Epilepsy Action. You can also bid for the originals on eBay.) See the other celebrity doodles at National Doodle Day. Voting ends on February 27.

Other celebrity sketches with Doctor Who appeal (though their sketches themselves aren’t Who-ish): Peter Davison (the Fifth Doctor), Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones), Russell Tovey (Starship Titanic’s Officer Alonzo), Bernard Cribbens (Donna’s grandad Wilf), Harry Lloyd (Baines in “The Family of Blood” and “Human Nature”), Michael Gambon (Kazran Sardick in “A Christmas Carol”), and Joanna Lumley (one of the many Doctors in “The Curse of Fatal Death”).

(Thanks to Kathleen for the link. If you stumble across a cool Doctor Who thing, feel free to email me with a link.)
