Saturday cute: ‘The Great Gatsby’ game for NES
A long-lost Nintendo game based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel The Great Gatsby? I thought this was a joke, but it’s for reals: If anybody has more info about this please let me know ! As it is, I really don't know much about this game. I found it at a yard sale. I bought it for 50 cents and went home to try it out. After dusting off my NES for like, 20 minutes I got it working, and jesus. So weird. Apparently it's an unreleased localization of a Japanese cart called "Doki Doki Toshokan: Gatsby no Monogatari", but I haven't found anything about that either. What's left of the manual was just rubberbanded to the cartridge. Or maybe it is a joke. From the supposed manual:
Gotta be a joke, right? You can play it The Great Gatsby for NES. (From Ken via Facebook. Got a photo or image that’s adorable and at least vaguely pop-culture related? Found such a photo online? Send a link or an image, and I might post it!) Disqus commentsblog comments powered by Disqus |
