Look at the curtain open behind Obama. It looks like he actually shot this before dawn this morning, so either he was up all night working, or up superearly to get back to work. Nice contrast with the current occupant of the White House, who’s in bed by 9pm. There is something seriously fucking wrong with the world when the President of the United States gets more sleep than I do.
Wait a sec: Did Obama say, “Will your job, or your husband’s job…”? Whoa: he’s granting the generic “you” the assumption of femaleness, or gay-maleness (valid only in Massachusetts and Connecticut). Nice.
Wait a sec: Did Obama say, “reducing our dependence on oil”? Not “reducing our dependence on foreign oil” — just “oil” full stop. Excellent.
Putting people to work greening federal buildings and schools? More broadband? Woo-hoo!
