Well, I guess if one kind of semirodential critter — the wabbit — gets his own holiday to shine, he cannot expect that other semirodential critter — the chipmunk — will not try to semirodentially weasel in on the bunny’s turf. If only we’d given the chipmunk the holiday he’d asked for — August 10’s National Duran Duran Appreciation Day — this could have been avoided. After all, the groundhog has his day. Why shouldn’t the chipmunk?
