We’ve heard tough talk like this from Obama before, and every time — every time — he ends up backtracking and backing down and saying he never said what he said. Guantanamo Bay was gonna be closed. The public option was a necessity. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was gonna end.
As with everything else, I won’t cheer till Obama follows through on what he says. Cuz he’s taught us that he’s real good at making strong promises and advocating change, but when it comes down to it, he either can’t or doesn’t want to follow through.
