The “aftermath” of a “brutal recession”? Sure feels like we’re still in it…

Investing in alternative energy is good. We should also be disincentivizing the use of fossil fuels. Like by upping — a lot — minimum MPG requirements for new cars. If we could shift our factories in a matter of months in 1942 from building automobiles and refrigerators and whatever to building tanks and planes, we sure as hell could shift automobiles factories from building one kind of car to building another kind of car.

Or maybe we should shift those car factories to building solar panels and trolley cars.
