watch it: “RSA Animate – 21st century enlightenment”

An on-the-fly cartoon illustration of a little talk about how we can apply 18th-century Enlightenment values about separating reality from what we’d prefer were real to the 21st-century love of truthiness over truth? Sounds like a job for YouTube.

There’s also a bit about how pop culture shapes how we think about other people and the world at large.

Many more similar videos are available at the YouTube channel for the RSA (the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce), which has, they tell us, “been a cradle of enlightenment thinking and a force for social progress for over 250 years.”
