the oh-no! DVD of the week: ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’

Why won’t this woman just go away already?

Sarah Palin’s Alaska takes viewers into the country’s ‘final frontier’ through the eyes of one of its most famous citizens – Sarah Palin. Sarah is joined by various family members as she shares the state she knows and loves. Along with Alaska’s great wilderness, the Palins encounter Alaska’s fascinating residents and share what its takes to thrive in the country’s largest state.

Alaska’s fascinating residents? Like in Episode 5?

Sarah welcomes Kate Gosselin and her children to Alaska. To prepare for a camping trip with the kids, Sarah takes Kate to a bear safety class for rifle practice. Then Kate and the kids experience the wilderness braving the challenges of camping in Alaska.

Unless the bears are the fascinating residents…
Poor Sarah! She must hunt to feed her family!

Sarah’s freezer is almost empty and winter is approaching. She embarks on an epic caribou hunting trip with her father, Chuck and friend Steve Becker. They travel 500 miles from the nearest city, above the Arctic Circle, in search of a caribou for food.

Like they don’t just go to the Walmart Supercenter in Juneau for some hot dogs when they’re peckish.
