finished Being Human Season 4

Was not expecting almost anything that happened in this series. Was not expecting to feel almost completely different about almost every character at the end than I felt at the beginning. Was not expecting to end up loving Hal so much.

Really one of the most narratively satisfying and inventive dramas on TV. That it’s horror fantasy is just the icing on the cake. Of course, part of why it’s so ingenious and enjoyable is because the genre gives it extra storytelling leeway.

Also too: Just when you think a subgenre — in this case, monster horror — is tapped out, someone comes up with new twists. Gives me a wee bit of hope…
