question of the day: What pointless remake of an old film — good, bad, or meh — can we expect Hollywood to foist on us next?

Rocky Horror Picture Show

Today’s question comes from LaSargenta, who wants to know:

What totally unnecessary remake is liable to be inflicted on us next? I vote for Rocky Horror, starring Channing Tatum and Katherine Heigl.

For a relatively recent (January 2012) list of actual remakes in the works, see Next Movie. (Spoilers: this list includes such unnecessary titles scheduled for do-overs as Annie, Dirty Dancing, Evil Dead, My Fair Lady, and Point Break.)

So: What pointless remake of an old film — good, bad, or meh — can we expect Hollywood to foist on us next?
