question of the day: What TV shows that aren’t on DVD should be?

old TV on DVD

Film School Rejects yesterday offered its “5 TV Shows That Aren’t On DVD – And Should Be” — click over for the choices of FSR’s Amber Humphrey — and I’m gonna steal her question:

What TV shows that aren’t on DVD should be?

My top choice would have been Starman, the short-lived late 1980s series based on the John Carpenter film: it’s a sweet, gentle show that I fell in love with back then but haven’t seen in years. However, just within the last few weeks, Sony started offering a “print on demand” DVD set of the series, available in the U.S. only [Amazon U.S.]. It’s not ideal — a proper manufactured set would be better — but at least the show is available to watch again.

What TV shows are you missing, and would love to be able to buy or rent to see again?
