question of the weekend: What is the most luxurious or decadent thing you can imagine actually being able to indulge in?

towel warmer

I have had the chance this week to enjoy the creature comfort of my dreams: a heated towel bar. Not only is there one in my hotel in Sheffield (where I’m attending Doc/Fest), but my friend Katy has one in her home, where I stayed when I did my school visit in Leicester.

In all the grand potentiality of decadence, a rack that warms one’s towels seems like a small thing, but to me such an item has always seemed like a wildly debauched indulgence. Perhaps because I’ve never had one at home. Someday, though, someday, I will. As God is my witness, someday I shall never have to endure mere room-temperature towels again. *shakes fist toward sky*

What about you? What is the most luxurious or decadent thing you can imagine actually being able to indulge in? Perhaps you have already indulged in it. If so, did it bring all the joy to your life that you’d hoped it would?
