question of the weekend: What sounds from the past do you wish you could hear?

ancient musician

A couple of weeks ago, I asked, for the Question of the Weekend, What sounds from the 20th and early 21st centuries should we save for posterity? Now I want to look at — or listen to, I suppose — the flip side of that:

What sounds from the past do you wish you could hear?

I can think of a few things: the roar of a Tyrannosaurus rex; William Shakespeare delivering lines from one of his own plays; someone speaking the Proto-Indo-European language.
