question of the day: Do you have seasonal movies that are an annual ritual (other than Christmas movies)?

1776 Howard Da Silva William Daniels

Today’s question comes from reader Kirk, who writes:

I was watching 1776 the other day as I usually do around Independence Day, and wondered if anyone else has seasonal movies that are an annual ritual (other than at Christmas, of course.) Others of mine include Easter Parade at Easter; Tora Tora Tora around Dec. 7th and The Longest Day on June 6th. Am I alone in this ritualistic behavior? (I haven’t got a favorite for Halloween, btw, not sure why)

I like The Nightmare Before Christmas for Halloween, myself. And of course 1776 is brilliant for Independence Day.

Do you have seasonal movies that are an annual ritual (other than Christmas movies)?

I’d particuarly love to hear about obscure or little-celebrated holidays that you have movie rituals for.
