From a logical point of view the title of the book seems to be a bit off. Every page tells you WHEN the Doctor is and then wants you to find WHERE he is.
I can understand that this title is more of a inside joke on Waldo and the fact that the Doctor is a time traveller, but it just feels wrong in the way the book is executing its ideas.
It would have been much more appropriate if they had shown the Doctor in a situation without telling you which time period it is and then have you guess that. Put the answers in the back of the book, so you can check you answers.
There’s more to this than just finding the Doctor. The legend says “the Doctor and his friends.” There are some of the more obvious “alien” characters, including a Cyberman, strewn around, and it’s possible that some of the people are Companions or antagonists that aren’t so obvious “aliens”, but I can’t tell. It would also be interesting, though unimportant – I think – to count up how many actual characters there are, because they’re a collection of repeated images – same character pasted in different places all over the picture.
