Recently I posted a comment somewhere — I can’t remember if it was here at the site or on Facebook or what — about how I was dreading the inevitable arrival of Black Friday: The Movie, about a mad slasher who stalks shoppers in big-box stores the day after Thanksgiving, making them even crazier and even deader than on a regular ol’ Black Friday. I can’t believe there hasn’t already been a movie about Black Friday — it seems like the last American “holiday” that hasn’t yet been commemorated in a bad horror movie… or in any other kind of movie. (The idea of Black Friday seems to be taking off in the U.K., too, if all the pre-Christmas advertising I’ve seen this week is any indication.)
At least half a dozen other potential movie ideas in other genres, beyond the cheap slasher flick, spring to mind immediately, but I want to let you have some fun with it. So:
Black Friday The Movie: Who stars, who directs, what’s the plot, and what’s the opening weekend box office?
