So, uh, what style of “what Flash animators think anime is like” are they trying to emulate? Nickelodeon’s, Cartoon Network’s, or Newgrounds’?

Yeah, looks like ultra-cheap American animation from the 1980s with some Japanese lettering and the Obligatory Sexual Nosebleed (though it’s usually from a guy).

There was one that had the Third Doctor teaming up with Cutie Honey or something. Very “Heavy Metal” vibe to it.

This has me staring with my eyebrows knitted. Very tightly knitted. IDEK indeed, Dan’l.

There is something nostalgic about the style, takes me back to Voltron days.

I can’t understand but about every 10th word of what Amy is saying.

i also find my brow heavily knitted… and my brain disturbed by this. i shall go watch a dvd of DW right now to wash this away.
