I have been involved in sending care packages (Marmite, Birds custard) to Britons in the USA. I assume it happens the other way too; while we get a lot of American-branded goods, they often seem to be formulated for the local market. (Much as German lager over here is often mass-produced rubbish, while in Germany the “same thing” is pretty good.)
