London photo of the day: tube station closed by strike

Weird to see a tube station closed in the middle of the day. And I’m obviously not the only one who thought it was photo-worthy.

i still have a hard time wrapping my head around subways that close after a certain time…

The excuse used to be “to get the maintenance done”. But London doesn’t seem to have any better maintenance than New York, or any fewer closures.

Some lines may start running 24 hours, at least on the weekend, in 2015.
