oh my god what is this

mydogspacetravler

What?

A young boy loses his dog to an anomaly in his backyard, a portal which leads to another dimension of our universe. He must rely on his friends and dysfunctional family to get the dog back and close the portal before it creates a rift that might destroy both universes.

My Dog the Space Traveler. This is either the best movie ever, or the worst. I think I want to see it, just to find out.

Coming to Region 1 DVD on February 25th. [Amazon U.S.] [Amazon Canada]

The cover of the Region 2 DVD — which is available now [Amazon U.K.] — is nowhere near as trippy. But the mysterious gleam in that dog’s eye is intriguing:

That’s like the James Bond of dogs, I think.

Wow.

It’s actually kind of interesting as a storytelling setup. A
mysterious portal to another world, space adventures, alien encounters — but all the action is about the small group of ordinary people who DIDN’T go on crazy adventures, who are just waiting on the other side at home and trying to piece it all together. Could be a really neat foundation for a more serious story in some other form.

Heavens. Hard to know what to say. For a while I thought it was a fake, but then I recognized Chris Lemmon. The trailer don’t make any sense to speak of, but that doesn’t bother me as much as the atrocious acting. WTF – you see it, MA, and let us know.

It is part of a grand conspiracy to actually make Sherman and Peabody look good.

See how successful that conspiracy was! It managed to make even you like Peabody and Sherman.

But seriously, folks…

I’m surprised to hear that you liked that. Apart from the international “Who” trailer and the presence of the always-likable Patrick Warburton, most of the trailers for that movie have not seemed all that promising.

I guess miracles can happen. :-)
