My polling place in Wood Green last week. I did not vote UKIP. (As a citizen of Ireland, as well as of the U.S., I’m entitled to vote in U.K. and E.U. elections.)

All the people I know who claim to have voted for UKIP seem aggressively apologetic about it, as if it were a sort of underground movement rather than yet another party led by a city boy who’s never had to worry about where the next house was coming from.
