London photo: the view from the Shard (33rd floor)

shardview1

Yesterday I had a lovely dim sum lunch with my friend and colleague Nikki Baughan of movieScope magazine and my cousin Melissa (who is doing a PhD at the University of Westminster) at Hutong, on the 33rd floor of the Shard. The food is delicious, but it’s the view one goes to Hutong for. This is one angle on London from on high, featuring the HMS Belfast with the Tower of London across the Thames and Tower Bridge spanning the river.

I’ve did a tour with my dad (who is a military junkie) when my parents were here for Christmas 2012. It was great.
