I loved watching people working at unusual tasks while I was in England. When we went to Vindolanda Fort on Hadrian’s Wall, after the rain finally stopped before we left for the day, we were able to watch the archaeologists resume their digging. I had a great time chatting with one of the head guys about what they were finding.
