London photos: my poppy has arrived!

mypoppy1

Last summer I helped plant ceramic poppies at the WWI commemorative installation at the Tower of London, “Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red” by artist Paul Cummins. Those poppies were available for sale (to be shipped after the installation ended in November, of course), and I bought one.

It came complete with a rusty post so I can plant it. (I just have to wait till I’m living somewhere where I have a place to do that.)
