The East London arts and residential complex the Barbican has a conservatory. I only just discovered this when I saw an announcement that it would be open for a few days, which is a rarity. (It is open this coming bank holiday Monday, FYI if you’re in London.) So I went to check it out.
At first glance — see here for a larger image — I found it rather sad, and it made me think of “The Ark.” But then I changed my mind as I explored… but you’ll have to come back tomorrow (and the rest of this week) for more pix and more on how my reaction to it changed.
