Except when it does. And because the sun never shines in London, nobody is prepared for it; only the newest Underground trains have any sort of air-conditioning, and people apparently need to be told to carry water with them.

Speaking as a Seattleite, I can’t but agree with the sentiment. We’re really tired here, at the moment, of all this unseemly sunlight. :)
