perhaps you stumbled across daphnae being turned into a laurel tree. (or in england is it the…. larch?)

Actually a prehistoric image, a Mother Goddess, or often identified as “Bird Goddess.” This is from Wikipedia:

If you just paste the URL of the image into the comment, it should work. Or you can download the image and the use the image icon at the bottom of the commenting field to upload it into your comment.

Yup, that does look like the statue. Maybe she’s a pigeon goddess!
