It’s Thanksgiving in the US today, so I’ll be recommending some appropriately themed flicks this week. Apologies to my non-American readers, but I make this promise: I won’t share any turkeys, and all the films will have more going for them than just a big dinner.

This Thanksgiving, why not celebrate the Native American way, by hunting down and killing a violent invader in your homeland? Join an awesome Amber Midthunder as young Comanche woman on the North American Great Plains in the early 18th century as she battles a brutal extraterrestrial sport hunter — of humans — to keep her tribe safe. A sequel to the 1987 cult favorite Predator, 2022’s Prey is brisk efficient sci-fi fun, but only for us apes. ET? He’s gonna phone home sobbing.
