In the course of a conversation with a reader by email this week, I was told:
I’m already a subscriber, though only at $1/mo.
As I replied to her: No no no! There’s no “only” about that! It may seem like a small amount — it is a small amount — but there’s power in numbers. A single dollar may be only one lousy measly buck to you, so much so that you’ll likely barely notice it from month to month, but with enough readers tossing in that one little dollar every month, great things can happen. My grand dreams for the site can happen fueled “only” by reader subscriptions. All it takes is all the regular readers kicking in that tiny amount each month.
