no turkey for me today

Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. I am not in the United States today. I am not even in the United Kingdom. Today, and for one day only, I am in Lille, in France, at its Christmas market.

I have heard much of these European Christmas markets, and was determined to see one for myself. So, on the Eurostar I go. When I’m missing cranberry sauce and crispy turkey skin, I will console myself with the fact that I am in France.
But I do not leave you bereft. Check back during the day for Thanksgiving fun and amusement, in between your courses of turkey and stuffing, pumpkin pie, and football.

(If there’s anything interesting to report from Lille, I shall do so, of course.)

share and enjoy
