London photo of the day: encounter with a fox

encounter with a fox
As I came around the corner tonight, this fox crept out from under the flowering bush at the right of the photo. It saw me and stopped in its tracks, and I did the same. I might have whispered hello, and very slowly and with a minimum of movement, I got my iPhone from my pocket, started the camera app, and snapped this image. The fox might almost have been waiting for me to get this done. But one photo was all it was willing to sit for, and it trotted off into the dusk. (In Morden, a little after 9pm.)
