even film isn’t on film anymore (and other adventures in social networking)

What my followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ saw today:
• Most adorable part: the bit where people worry that the mere idea that a boy or a man *might* be confronted with a female character they have to empathize with — even though there is no danger of that happening in this instance — sets a dangerous precedent. Never mind that girls and women must do this all the time. Dad cracks Zelda game, turns daughter into hero

• Funny how that happens… Men in animation

• I think I saw this in the original Clash of the Titans… The First Robot, Created in 400 BCE, Was A Steam-Powered Pigeon

• Even film isn’t on film anymore. It may be that Renaissance-era paintings will endure longer in the forms the artists intended than some movies will. With 35mm Film Dead, Will Classic Movies Ever Look the Same Again?
