Holsten’s, the ice cream shop in New Jersey where James Gandolfini filmed the final scene of The Sopranos, have left his seat ‘Reserved’ today in a poignant tribute to the actor, who died of a heart attack yesterday.

Lovely.

What’s your favorite Gandolfini moment(s) on film? Mine could be the UN stuff at the end of In the Loop… or really just his every scene in that film, which were extra funny because you simply didn’t expect him to be funny at all.

I managed to entirely miss the news that he’s dead up until now. Fuck. These days I do really think of In the Loop first when I think of him… but this is a beautiful tribute.
