opening wide today: ‘I Am Legend,’ ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks,’ ‘The Perfect Holiday’

I Am Legend
Wil Smith is alone on Manhattan Island — and maybe the planet — after a virulent plague wipes out humanity. Scariest thing about New York after the apocalypse? He still can’t get tickets to The Lion King on Broadway. (my review)

Alvin and the Chipmunks
A songwriter in Los Angeles adopts three cartoons forest rats as his own children. And then he gets into a custody battle over them with a record company executive. Only in California… (my review)

The Perfect Holiday
A young single mother falls in love with a shopping mall Santa as Queen Latifah as the Ghost of Christmas Melodrama grants her blessing. As punishment, the movie will be sent straight to the Hallmark Channel without any gingerbread cookies. (my review)

Actually, he kinda can, as you’ll see in the film…

How come you didn’t list Juno, didn’t that come out today? The Imdb has it listed for dec.14. It’s probably going to better then the rest of the lame ass movies that came out this week.

heh I’m Kidding all these good reviews for it are really boiling my blood. It’s just seems all so cute and makes me want to punch a book in someones neck.
This girl in my class tell me ” its Ellen pages best performance” and I said “who?” “you know shadowcat from xmen” .So I said “oh I’m more of a Rogue guy”. We stop talking because she was a huge shadowcat fan.
So I am Legend is on my agenda regardless to shadowcat and all the globe buzz Junos getting

I Am Legend sold me just by having a German Shepard in the trailer.

Which Shadowcat from which X-Men? Didn’t they recast her in every movie?

*Juno* opened in four theaters today. That is considerably less that “wide.”

Why not wait to see the film before putting your health at risk?
