on “biast” (and other weird usages, strange vocabulary, and creative writing)

If you come to the site of a writer and want to be taken seriously when you offer criticism of that writer’s vocabulary choices, invented words, odd turns of phrase, and the like, you had better have a good reason. Not a good reason: That you haven’t read the plainly and obviously linked explanation for a weird spelling.

From now on, I will delete any comment that states that “biast” is not a word. If you cannot even be bothered to take the tiny and clearly marked step to discover why I have chosen to spell the word this way, I cannot be bothered with you. And I’m sick of my comment threads being cluttered up with this nonsense. (To my regular commenters: Please don’t respond to these people. I’ve just deleted some responses from regulars, and I don’t want you to take offense at this. It wasn’t about you: it was about discouraging the original commenter and not cluttering up the thread.)
