Way of the Gun. And to question you back…..why did they beat up the women in the beginning of the movie?

And I don’t remember why they beat up the woman. Why do you ask? Do you have a theory on this?

I ask because I’m a film afficianado myself, and that was a way to test your knowledge of the film. And if you didn’t know, it’s a way for me to lord my knowledge over you. Muahahahaha. :P

OK, serously, in the DVD commentary, McQuarrie said he and a buddy were in a situation where they were going to get their asses kicked by a bunch of people. The buddy asks, “What do we do?”

McQuarrie says, “Run in there and hit the women first”.

Buddy, “But they’ll kill us.”

McQuarrie, “They’ll kill us anyway, but if we beat the women up first….we’ll go to the emergency room, but they still have to go home with them. Take away their victory.”
