behold “Too Many Cooks” and get your mind blown

Oh my god what is this I can’t even:

Once you collect pieces of your brain from around the room and clean up your drink of choice from your keyboard, feel free to discuss… if you’re able.

I apologise. I couldn’t last longer than 3 minutes, 3 seconds. What’s there to discuss? This is exactly why I mostly have no interest in television. This shit existed and exists; making a joke of it doesn’t make it any better.

Oh no no, at 3:03 it’s still just a parody. After about 4:30 it starts getting surreal. Like, “even David Lynch thinks this is out there” levels of surreal.

ETA: I’m not saying you have to sit through the whole thing. I’m saying the tone and purpose of the piece shifts dramatically about a minute after you stopped.

Ok, so there’s a prize for those with enough fortitude to make it through the morass. I’m glad. (Seriously, no sarcasm here.) But, I’m still unable to watch it. I’m weird, I admit it; but, I know need to watch Fitzcarraldo now to scrub even that 3’3″ of parody-of-pap out of my brain.

I trust MaryAnn highly, but, I don’t have it in me to go further.

Because Adult Swim posted a much better quality version of it.

For those that didn’t find anything to appreciate, an interesting take: http://freebeacon.com/blog/what-too-many-cooks-tells-us-about-2016-and-the-resiliency-of-the-patriarchy-gifs/
