Taco Bell: down with male sexual entitlement. I guess they’re also cool with women spending their fast-food money elsewhere.

I hated this ad. Saw it recently. Maybe in the movie theater?
What a douchebag.
I mean, if you want to date someone why on Earth would you take them taco bell? What strange world do the residents of these commercials live in?
The world that all such residents live in — one in which the advertised product is the most important and amazing thing in the universe. So Taco Bell is the hub of all romance, and Pepsi instantly dissolves police brutality.
I loved the commercial about five years ago–I think it was advertising a car–where all the senior citizens and aging adults lived lives of wild adventure while the young people did nothing but surf the internet. I’m not even sure the ad was aiming for comic irony. They just wanted to echo the romantic fantasies of their target audience (and their stereotypes about millenials).
Gotta love those ads that are so clever they forget to make the product itself memorable.
For instance, this is the greatest ad of all time. Still have no idea what EDS is (or was). :-)

That was a campaign ad for Nancy Pelosi, back when she was running Congress.
A taco and a burrito?
Together?
Seriously?
The horror, the horror…
