We need to be – we don’t have jobs!
HA! You should see my internet bookmarks. It’s like an ADHD mashup. ;)
Is that really a bad thing? Isn’t happiness supposed to be our ultimate goal?
We are not amused.
lol
I laughed so hard, I snorted.
Apparently once upon a time our ancestors did not have television. They adapted to this bleak state of reality by being thoroughly entertained by many simple and readily available things that were not television.
In modern times our superior technology has erased this need for simpler amusement, but the antiquated trait still lives on, bringing with it lolcats, bizarre Guiness world records, and Eiffel Towers made of pencils during study period.
Hey, I thought this was supposed to be a lovefest, MaryAnn.;-)
Only regarding *Doctor Who.* Everything else is presumed to suck unless and until it demonstrates otherwise.
Out of sheer boredom, they had a lot of sex with whoever was around. That’s why there are so many of us, and why we are so easily amused: a low tolerance for boredom, and a high tolerance for anything and anyone who might remotely be considered diverting.
Wait a sec’…sex is more than just the amusement of last resort. I will happily forego LOTS of potential ‘amusements’ if I think there is sex in teh offing. Especially if I think it is going to be good sex!
Harrumph!
You are way too easily amused. ;-)
As it happens, I resemble that remark.
Hmm… TV as the ultimate in birth control. Interesting theory. But based on the timeline (1920s-40s for tv vs. 1960s for the pill based on a quick wikipedia check) it couldn’t have been very effective at first judging by the number of baby boomers…
Dude! That was awesome. (Hey- I’m allowed to geek out. It’s in my field. :P)
That is way too cool. And I like the Beethoven’s 5th even more.
