Disqus crashing Internet Explorer 8?

I’ve got a few reports from readers that the site is suddenly crashing Internet Explorer 8. It looks like something to do with whatever Disqus did in the last few days to update the commenting system. I have absolutely no control over this: I’m sorry.

Apparently the cause of most crashes are add-ons to IE, so you could try deleting some of those and see what happens. (Actually, the leading cause of IE crashes is using IE in the first place, but that’s a different matter.)

Of course, if your browser is crashing, you probably can’t read this. If you can and need a different place to discuss the problem, head over to the forum, where there’s a thread already in progress
