interesting: U.S. embargo for ‘Rio’

Since it’s been all embargo news here lately (or at least it feels like it), here’s the flip side of the nonsense. I just received my invitation to the New York press screening of Rio — because of course I’m still on all the NYC press lists. The New York press won’t see the film till the day after Rio opens here in the U.K. — this Friday, April 8 — yet they are being asked to hold all reviews till the North American opening date, Friday, April 15. Even though there will be plenty reviews available online from the British press… in fact, there already are reviews available. No one here said anything about holding back reviews.

The idiocy continues…
