An entertaining look at why Fox News is setting the agenda for what passes for journalism in the U.S, and a tool, perhaps, for deprogramming its adherents.

Initially intriguing detective tale of ancient Rome hops genres into fantasy, with a strange manic-preacher-dream-boy seduction of its pragmatic protagonist.

A marvelous little movie: compact, efficient, almost unbearably intense, smartly (perhaps accidentally) feminist. A glorious treat of pulp genre fun.

The name of the lovestruck female love interest for the male protagonist is almost never uttered. His name is mentioned constantly, natch. What a metaphor!

Bad chicken-and-egg puns and indoctrination into animal cruelty as just good fun for everyone involved (including the animals). You know, for kids.

This is the rare film with hardly any men onscreen; the only significant two exist within the story as nothing but romantic and/or sexual adjuncts to women.

Wonderfully, aggressively feminist, a rare crossgenerational portrait of two women getting to know each other amidst a crisis. Smart and acerbically funny.

Women are present here only to reassure men that they are wanted, desired, and looked after, no matter how miserable or lacking in self-esteem they are.

Woefully bad feint at a dramedy in which everyone agrees the “hero” is a terrible excuse for a man… and he gets the message that he is awesome anyway.
