Jonathan London at Geekscape has posted a downright desperate screed attempting to defend Zack Snyder and his Sucker Punch by simultaneously insisting that the film is not terrible, and also that if geeks hate the film it means they hate themselves. Oh, and we’re just jealous of Snyder, anyway.

…even though all the U.K. press saw the film tonight… and even though there’s a ton of reviews out of the U.S. already available. They do realize that people get the Internet in England, don’t they?

But only some people. It appears to be inconceivable to him that some women might actually like this movie. Why would they? It’s a science fiction military action flick with blatant political overtones… and no pink whatsoever. What’s for a girl to like, then? We shouldn’t be taxing our ladybrains thinking about such notions.
I’m getting really damn sick and tired of stupidity getting a free pass from people who are supposed to be smart about movies…
