Remember that fan-made Fright Night poster from last month? Never mind that.

question of the day: Johnny Depp and Rachel Weisz in Rob Marshall’s ‘The Thin Man’: good idea or the death of film?

I love Depp and Weisz, and I bet they’d be fantastic together. But is there any reason to remake a classic? Is there any hope in hell it could possibly be better than the original? Why bother to make such a movie at all… except that Hollywood is unashamed of its creative bankruptcy?

This is awesome. The world desperately needs a movie about a horrible, shallow, mean, angry, bitter, stupid person.

I’m gonna be spending much of my day running around catching up with two new wide releases here that I was not able to see in advance…

I dunno… there’s an awful lot of CGI in this trailer. Is the whole movie going to be one big cartoon?

It looks like a joke, something invented to poke fun at the excesses and ludicrousies of comic book storytelling…

trailer break: ‘After the Apocalypse’

The title makes it sound like a cheesy Syfy Saturday night movie, but it’s a real-life horror story about how the Soviet Union nuked its own people…
