Either people are actually very excited about HBO’s programming — such as Boardwalk Empire — coming to the U.K. on an official, this-is-HBO basis, or else Sky just wants people to be excited.

It’s worth noting that the U.K. version of Skins is about to debut its fifth series this week, and the country is, for the most part, still standing. I have seen no wild gangs of feral teenagers, those who were not protected from Skins, roaming the streets, mugging dogs and harrassing old ladies…
Is it time to be scared yet?
Somehow I missed the news last spring that Steven Spielberg and some creative folks from Star Trek and 24 were launching one of the most expensive science fiction TV series ever. But now Terra Nova is on the Fox broadcasting schedule — a two-hour preview will air on May 23 and May 24 before the show returns for 13 episodes in the fall of 2011 — and the anticipation (or the dread) is building…
Proper Being Human is nuanced and subtle. All of that has been stripped out of Syfy’s Being Human. It’s infuriating. And enraging. And completely unnecessary.
The ten-part arc is now called “Miracle Day”… but the miracle is of a dark sort…

The just-announced cohost of Ebert’s new review show is all of 24 years old. It means he was 10 or 11 when Christy Lemire, the show’s other host, starting working as a film critic. WTF?
