what a girl wants

I was already down with the A-Team movie, just because: 1) hello! A-Team movie 2) silliest TV show ever 3) someone else noticed how awesome Sharlto Copley is But then I saw this image at Yahoo! Movies, part of a roundup about the most anticipated movies of the upcoming spring/summer season: And I almost fainted. … more…

trailer break: ‘The A-Team’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer… I know this is supposed to be serious and all, what with its tale of justice wronged and mid-air tank battles, but I can’t help giggling deliriously through this. Tee-hee! Hannibal said, “I love it when I plan comes together”! Man, I cannot wait for this movie. … more…

watch it: “Hellweek – South Africa”

In case you worried — as I did — that Sharlo Copley mightn’t be able to handle the accent required for H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock in the upcoming A-Team movie, check out this hilarious promo video from his South African FX company Atomic: Thanks to Donna in comments for pointing this out.

does this look like the A-Team to you?

It does to me. I dunno why I’m so obsessed with this A-Team movie, except that, damn, did I love that goofy show. I know I’m likely to be wildly disappointed by the movie, but there we are. And now that we’re getting our first look — clearly an unofficial one — at the cast, … more…

question of the day: How the hell cool would it be if ‘District 9’’s Sharlto Copley played ‘The A-Team’’s Howling Mad Murdock?

Oh man, I’m geekgasming. Blackfilm.com is reporting that Sharlto Copley — Wikus Van De Merwe in District 9 — has been offered the role of pilot Captain H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock in the new A-Team movie. The awesomely awesome cast already includes Bradley Cooper as Lieutenant Templeton “Faceman” Peck and Liam Neeson as Colonel John … more…

trailer break: ‘G-Force’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer… Jerry Bruckheimer is making rodent movies now, eh? It’s like The A-Team with rats. And the guy named “Blaster” got that name for his propensity to fart loudly on a regular basis, I’m guessing… I’m onboard for Bill Nighy as the bad guy, however. And anyone who … more…

dream cast: hypothetical ‘A-Team’ movie

It’s Thursday, so it’s time to remake an 80s classic TV show or movie with an all-new cast. This week: The A-Team, the 1983-7 NBC action series about a group of Vietnam vets who help out folk in trouble. Rumor has it that a movie is already in the works, but that doesn’t mean we … more…

Mystery Men (review)

I’m happy to report, having now seen the movie that goes with the trailer, that my final disillusionment has been postponed, at least for a little while. Mystery Men is a dream of a summer flick: outrageously funny, unabashedly hip, totally cool, with just a hint of heart beating under a cynicism that’s well beyond skin deep — and I mean that in the best possible way.
