Silly me. I always thought of SF as a genre that encourages freethinking and lets the imagination roam beyond the mainstream.
Alien on the Red October… though actually, this episode reminded me most of the Peter Davison-era Doctor Who story “Warriors of the Deep.”

This is actually an old DVD — dating back 2002 — that’s gotten a very minor redesign (of the packaging, that is) and is back as a “new release”… just in time to cash in on what is sure to be a Rapunzel craze with Disney’s Tangled about to open.
